I am reminded of the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner - "water, water
everywhere, and not a drop to drink".
and i so it is with Cadys in Providence between 1800-1820 - "Cadys,Cadys
everywhere and not a father to be found".
Two Cadys get married within months of each other in 1820 at Providence -
Calvin and Sarah. Calvin of David and Deborah and Sally of ?.
There appears in the Providence Gazette a death for one David Cady - ages 63
- b. ca. 1754 - of Ct - leaves a wife (? Deborah) and 10 children. thats
a big family.
It looks like a possible is David Cady b. Ca 1754 of Ezekiel and Anna
(Copeland) Cady of Pomfret/Brooklyn. This David first married Lois Fassett.
so it seems.
No other David Cady fits into this time frame that i know of other than this
david - another david b. the same year removed to Florida,NY.
Who is Deborah ? - odd too that this David Cady of Ezekiel had a sister
named Deborah - she was a widow in 1820 at Providence. b. ca 1770. ?
The David Cady who m. Lydia Young - of Killingly ca. 1791 - they have a
Lois. Neither of the two were descended from a Lois.
any ideas ? no births exist for Calvin b. 1796 or Sally b. ca. 1801/2 -
could these two be one of the 10 children - and where are the others ??
