Hi Darleen,
It gets confusing dose it.
Joseph Cady had a son David who had a son Jonothan.
The same Joseph had a son Benjamin who had a daughter Rebecca.
David and Benjamin were brothers.
Joseph was grandfather to both Jonothan and Rebecca.
I do not know any thing about Benjamin and his family.
I guess that would make us cousins twice over.
Interesting about the name Gordon I don't know where my fathers name came
from I will have to ask.

To: Chris B Williamson, son of Gordon Cady Williamson re: info in
burned
Cady Bible.
You mention a Benjamin Cady, son of Captain Joseph. I'm picking straws...
but our brick wall is Benjamin Johnson Cady b. c. 1797. He married
Catherine Lyman in Hamilton County OH in 1820. Perhaps "our" Benjamin
leads back to your ancestor of the same name??? I figure there are two
generations between them. Can you (or any other subscriber) fill the gap?
Descendants of B.J. Cady are: his son, Henry Lyman Cady b. 1824 Hamilton
OH; Henry's son, Leander Weston Cady b. 1860 IN; his daughter, Fara Doxie
Cady, b. 1889 IN; her daughter, Muriel, then me.
The name Gordon Cady first appears in our line in 1900. Probably
coincidence but....
