We know he was confused with Joseph Cleveland Cady 1770-1840, as both were
likely born in Connecticut, moved west to Otsego Co, NY and eventually end
up in Southwest Ohio, Joseph C Cady was likely in Mill Creek, Hamilton Co,
Ohio between 1806 and 1819. We know he and his brother David Cady 176x-1821
purchased Congressional Land west of the Great Miami River, this land
remained with his son Naham Cady 1816-1884. Joseph was a member of the
Masonic Lodge and likely was involved as a Distiller. Joseph had a large
family and I found Daniel Wilson Cady 1786-186x, Joseph C Cady Jr 1794-186x,
Benjamin Johnson Cady 1797-1879, and Naham. In addition, there are several
other possibilities, Harris Penuel Cady 1815-187x, Silas Cady 1805 and
several daughters as yet unknown. None of this is found in Cady Genealogy by
James W Cady or older references. Much of my research is hampered by
Spelling and Transcription errors. Joseph C Cady is listed as Cody in the
Census of 1820 and Naham is Keidy in 1850.
