I too have been looking. Arthur in In the "Dictionary of English Names" showed
the name originated in Suffolk Co, England and in the Census of 1841, with a few
misspellings all the Cady;s are from Suffolk. The Pipe Rolls show Cady;s in the area as
early as 1325. There are very few Cady;s in England, considering the name is 800 years
old, there are twenty times more in the United States.
Nicholas Cutt is not the connection, I found several leads, an older Nicholas Cady, John
Cady and Elyse Cady. A problem is the name is so often misspelled, and there is a Suffolk
dialect (Very close to a New England accent) Only in the late 1990's did anyone point
out that CADE and CADY can be pronounced Kai-dee., where as some Cade;s pronounce it
Ca-id. So the main reason no one has found the family is it could be spelled Cade,
