You present an interesting story. but what I found was a little different.
ERZA D CADY (John, Jacob, Samuel, Stephen, Joseph, Nicholas) 1839-1915
SIDNEY L CADY (Ezra, John, Jacob, Samuel, Stephen, Joseph, Nicholas) 1862-1938

This family is of New England Puritan ancestry back to 1630. There is no Scotish or
Canadian connection on the Cady side. DNA shows the male gene came from Scandinavia
(Daneslaw period in England or Viking time 880AD) The Cady's found in Northern England
and Southern Scotland were descendents of the Vikings who merged with the Saxon Kings of
Wessex. The claim of William in 1066 is based on the prior Viking claim. .
