Take your pick:
Cady Name Meaning
1) English (Suffolk): probably a variant of Caddy.
2) Possibly an Americanized spelling of French Cadé (see Cade) or Cadet.
3) Perhaps an Americanized spelling of German Gäde (see Gade), Göde (see Goede), or Köthe,
all from the medieval personal name Godo.

Most Cadys in the USA descend from Nicholas Cady, who was born within 10 years of 1620 in
England and died in 1712 in Massachusetts or Connecticut.. "English", in turn,
means some mix of Pict, Celt, Angle, Saxon, Jute, Viking, Roman mercenary and Norman.
Exactly what ratios of each are lost in the mists of time.
