JON M CADY
3656 EDDY ST
Record Created: 03/2004
CHICAGO, IL 60618
You could write and ask if he is the one. But, the listing is 6 years old and it looks to
be a cheap neighborhood - the map that came up shows it is 1/2 block from the Kennedy
Expressway, so the noise must be constant. Chances are he rented, then moved on. Still, 44
cents isn't much; 88 if you include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
Given how rare "Jon" is, we could probably find him on the 1960 census, but the
latest census to be made public is 1930. 1960 won't be public until 2032.
Ancestry.com doesn't have a Michigan birth records data base. There are 205 women
named "Nancy" on the Social Security Death index who died in Michigan in 2007.
That gives you an idea of how big the haystack is when we say finding your Nancy is like
finding a needle in a haystack. There are roughly that many in Michigan for 2003, 2004,
2005, 2006 and 2008 too. I picked 2007 at random; "several" usually means 3 -
7.
Again, the chance that one of Jon's relatives is interested in genealogy is very, very
slight. We are total strangers who are, nevertheless, experienced genealogists and willing
to help you. We are going to have to do it from public records, not meeting Jon at choir
practice or a family picnic.
If:
1) You knew Nancy's surname at death,
2) You knew her year of death
3) There was only one who fit (not 205)
then one of the warm, wise, well-read, gracious people in Michigan who subscribe to this
list might be able to dig up her obituary, which might list her children and where they
were living when she died.
