Hi, Glad to finally hear from someone researching this family. I have no idea who
Evelina's parents are, but I have a guess. I have information on her husband and their
son Ebenenezer and his wife and their decendants. Evelina is my 4th great grandmother and
Ebenezer is my 3rd great grandfather. His son Jerome is my 2nd great father and his son,
Clarence is my great grandfather. I really have no idea why Ebenezer enlisted in Michigan
but he settled in Tryonville with Mary Jane where they were buried. Probably you know all
this already. I have quite a bit of stuff on some of the lines going back from Mary Jane -
quite interesting lines.

In this cemetery, which is listed online, there is an Ebenezer Cady, who died June 1,
1846, aged 63 years. The date and his age make it seem that he may have been her father.
Since her son's name was Ebenezer, I would think this could be a pretty good guess but
not proven yet.
Evelina's headstone says she was aged 67 years, possibly 7 months and 3 days I think.
If I have the headstone read right this would make her birthdate August 28, 1810, but that
all hinges on if I made out the headstone right.
Her husband John C. Tulloch, is buried at Edmuston, PA. I went to see his grave a few
years back and when I got back home looked online once again to see if I could find any
more on Evelina and finally found Thomas Dunne had posted a picture of her headstone in
Duanesburg!! I emailed him but got no response. So I think one day I will have to make a
trip to Duanesburg to check things out and see what I can find.

E. C. Tulloch
Ebenezer Cady Tulloch of Tryonville, a veteran of the Civil War, well known and highly
esteemed throughout this section, died at the city hospital at 12:15 o'clock Sunday
morning, at which institution he had been an inmate for several weeks. The body was taken
to the Cummins mortuary and prepared for burial and, this morning wll be conveyed to the
family residence at Tryonville.
Mr. Tulloch was born at Esperance, Schoharie county, N. Y. Dec. 14, 1841. At the age of
eighteen years he enlisted in the Second Michigan Infantry and was promoted to the rank of
captain. He was wounded, taken prisoner, and spent three days in Libbey prison, when he
was exchanged and was honorably discharged in 1864, having served three and one-half
years. Returning to Michigan after the war he taught school for three years, when he was
attracted by the oil excitement around Tidioute. Here he was united in marriage with Mary
J. Loomis, to which union two sons were born, Jerome E., now of Colorado, and George E. of
Titusville, all of whom survive. He also leaves a brother, George Tulloch of St.
Petersburg, Pa. to mourn his death.
For a number of years the deceased was engaged in the oil business and in farming in
Tidioute. For the past quarter of a century he had been following the mercantile business
at McGraw, Warren county, and at Tryonville, the latter being his place of residence until
his last sickness. He was brought to the hospital here about a month ago and underwent a
serious operation, and from this, owing to his debillitated condition, he never rallied.
Funeral serviced will be conducted at the Tryonville Methodist Episcopal church at 2
o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Chase Post 50 G. A. R., of this city taking part in the
obsequies. Interment will be in the Tryonville cemetery.
(Esperance Sta. was in the southwest corner of the Town of Duanesburg.)
I have found lots of little bits of info on Ebenezer in the paper's "local
happenings type news" they used to write about back when he was alive. Nothing major,
but they give a nice view of his daily life and bring him more to life.
Jerome died in 1966 in Kansas.
Why don't you write me and I will send you what I have in more detail-pictures,
newspaper stuff etc.
