The Descendants of Nicholas Cady book, page 57 lists:
Deacon Nathan Cady (Daniel, Daniel, Nicholas) as serving for six months (Jun 1777 Dec
1777); this was a normal enlistment period for the early years of the war. This is
confirmed by "Conn. Men in Revolution".
His younger brother, Nathum, responded to the call to arms in the Lexington Alarm (pg 58).
The Alarm, and battle, of Lexington took place in Apr 1775.
Therefore, the service of both brothers is correct.
