Those of you I have exchanged information with (and any other descendants as well), here
is something that might interest you. Permission has been granted to put a marker for
this Revolutionary War soldier at the cemetery in Saratoga County, NY, where he is most
probably buried. We don't know WHEN it will happen, unfortunately, but the SAR would
like to have any descendant's names and I said I would try to find them.
This is his line from Nicholas:
Nicholas
James
Sergt. John
William Cady m. Phebe Kingsbury
JEREMIAH m.(1) Abigail Lawrence, (2) Letitia ______, who survived him.
Capt.Cady was present April 1775 at the Alarm of Lexington Battle. In late Jan.1776 Major
Cady led a detachment or reg't. to Canada to the relief of General Arnold's army.
If you think it possible that you might attend (I'm assuming that's why they would
like the names, and assuming also there will be some kind of ceremony), let me know your
email address. When I find out the details, I will let you know.
Jeremiah's children as far as I know were -
William, b. Plainfield CT 1756
Phinehas
Jeremiah, Jr.
John
Lydia
Lucy, m ____ Baker
Abigail, m ___Bacan
Hope I hear from some of you,
Barbara Cady
