I saw the connection, I am not up to generation 9 and 10 yet. I am still making connections from Census records to generation 2 to 8. Part of my reason for putting the information I have out is that I am looking for connections. email me at jcady622(a)aol.com if you have any questions or thoughts,
Also, if you have a male Cady I would ask they do a DNA test with either FamilytreeDNA,com or ancestry.com = free shipping this month.

Written in 1991 with a supplement written in 1995 the book uses information from Nicholas Cady of Watertown,MA by Peer Orin Allen 1890 era. (Which is on line). There are over 200 contributors listed in the book, There are some mistakes so it is important to consider the documents source.,
As far as getting a copy, I understand it is out of print and Dr Cady has since past away.. I search Ebay, con and several Book Collector web sites. In addition, I suggest you look at some of the local genealogy libraries. Most of the big cities have a copy in their library. 90% of Cady Surnames with a New England source, before 1840 are related, There are at least three Cady Clan's the English Clan (Eastern and Northern England) Scottish Clan of mostly Scotch-Irish Presbyterians and Irish Catholic Suggest a Male Y=DNA rest for Genealogy, I used FamilytreeDNA.com and Ancestry.com

What a project! I corresponded with Jim Cady when he was working on that and sent him a raft of material, The info beginning at the bottom of p 6080 should be included with the family on 2024. I had asked the family to send their information to me and most did, but Janette wanted to send it in herself and did, and it ended up unconnected. I put in what information I had about them. It is a monumental task and I know Jim was discouraged sometimes. Good luck to you.

I am working on the book above. I put it on a spreadsheet and I am trying to add new names to the list up to 1900. (Eight or Nine generations) I am also trying to place many of the unconnected anmes he and others have listed.
I am also trying to get more men to do a DNA test, so we can verify the Cady line. Most Cady;s to track to New England before 1840 are related.there are several trees. From Nicholas Cady of Watertown,MA, to the Scotch-Irish Cady;s (1715-1754) then the Irish (1840 ) The Surname has different origins going back to 1200. How the name is pronounced has more to do with it. than whether it is from Ireland, Scotland or England. DNA point to three different groups.
