My great-great-grandfather Thomas Carter (born c. 1826) had an older
sister, Elizabeth (born c 1821 Wombridge) who married a John Cadman. So
far as I can tell, though they had no children. This John Cadman was an
Ironstone Miner (akin to Elizabeth's own father's occupation of Coal
Miner). I do not know if this couple are related to yours. In 1861 the
couple had what I think might have been a relative lodging with them:
Henry Southall. He and his father Thomas had lodged with Elizabeth's
mother (Ann Carter nee Pritchard?) in 1841. Elizabeth, her husband John
were living next door to her brother James' widow and family and a door
away from her mother (where brother Thomas, his wife Harriett Cotton and
some of their children were living).
