Hello Julie:
I wonder if any of your James Cadmans is the man I am looking for, who was a civil
engineer or surveyor on the location and construction of the Intercolonial Railway of
Canada from 1867-1876?
I have scant information on him, other than he was born probably in the 1840s and that he
died in 1897.
He was an assistant engineer on a New Brunswick section of the railway built by Sandford
Fleming, and left the staff in 1874.
I am writing abook on the lives of the more-than 90 engineers who assisted Fleming (but
got no credit)and if you have information you would care to offer I;dbe happy t have it.
Regards
