Liam,
Thanks for your reply.
I really don't know whether I am on the right track with my elusive Cadmans. In all
probability they are related to yours, but if I give you a bit more information, maybe you
are in a better position to decide? Any comments are greatly appreciated - I'm
hitting a 'brick wall' at the moment!
a) In 1881 census Francis Cadman (i) (aged 55) coal miner living at 60 Regent St, Sedgley
with Mary (nee Bashford) with daughter Hannah (16).
b) In 1881 census John Cadman (aged 33) coal miner living at 42 Regent St, Sedgley with
Martha (nee Tyler), sons Frances (ii) (10) and William (4), and they had a sister Harriet
(7) who was living with a) above on census night. The strange (?) thing is that Francis
and Mary said she was their daughter on census night when I have the birth certiicate to
prove she wasn't - she was John and Martha's daughter. I don't suppose you
know why this would happen do you?
Anyway, I hope I'm correct in assuming from your note that it is Frances (ii) that you
are talking about who would have been born about 1871? As yet I have not followed young
Frances (ii) any further.
To be honest Liam, I'm interested in any part of the Cadman family. I'm finding
family history really interesting and quite fascinating to find out who they were, what
they did, and how the families fit together, so please could you tell me a bit more about
your family anyway?
Kind regards
Keren
