Please forgive the length of this post. I realize there are at least two Charles Cades and
want to be sure we are discussing the same one.
Is anyone still researching Charles W Cade, born in Wayne County, PA and later moved to
Superior and/or McPherson, Kansas? I see some messages from 2000 but nothing after that.
He was born about 1836, served in the Civil War in the 49th PA Volunteer Infantry and
married Mary E Hall. Charles was the son of George Cade and Dorcas Smith, had a brother
Erastus, and twin sisters Lucinda Caroline (Carrie) and Prudence Adaline. I am descended
from Prudence and would love to connect with some long-lost cousins. I have a picture with
Prudence's son, George W Wood, taken in Hutchinson, Kansas. The woman with him is
labeled as a Cade cousin in Kansas but does not give anything more. From George's age
I would guess the photo was taken in the 1870's or 1880's. I am trying to attach a
scan of the photo with this post but will also be glad to email to anyone that would like
to see it.
