This answer is to the query posted by Mr Ancestry on the message board, and

My interest is in the Dorset Caddys, but I have extracted the Caddy entries
from, inter alia, the G.R.O. indexes.
There is a Francis Caddy with a partially legible middle name (something
like "Glayan") and a birth registered in the Jun 1841 quarter at Helston; I
do not have the district and page reference. Wendron was within the
Helston district.
I think that the most likely marriage entry is Dec 1861 Tavistock 5b 676.
There are entries in 1862 and 1865 in Dorset, but we can rule these out as
both are related to me. It is possible that the FreeBMD website will be
able to establish whether there is a match with an Elizabeth.
Relevant birth entries are:
Mary Jane Caddey Jun 1864 Tavistock 5b 364
Elizabeth Ellen Caddey Dec 1867 Tavistock (I do not have the reference)
Rosina Caddey Mar 1870 Tavistock 5b 394
The Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales does not give the parish or
union in which Gunnislake was situated, but it does say that it is four
miles south of Tavistock.
I am grateful for the enquiry, as I have the Tavistock entries on my
database, and can now rule them out from the Dorset lines. I shall
appreciate any further information on them that may be found, for the same
reason. Let me know if I can help with any further entries from the G.R.O.
indexes, probate calendars or W.W.1 medal roll index.
