Hello Thomas,
Thanks for your message.
Well, you never know, we may be related but there are a lot of Caddys out there!
My grandfather Frederick Henry Caddy spent some time in the States (roughly 1905 onwards)
but returned eventually home to his family in England (his wife, my grandmother refused to
go to America with him) but his brother Samuel Hubert did remain there, visiting England
intermittently and he had two wives, one originally Danish, she died shortly after giving
birth to Beth, the younger child, around 1920, he then married again, to one Dorothy
Johnston children (of first marriage, none from second) are Samuel Hubert and Marie
Elizabeth, known as Beth. I am in now communication with Beth's daughter Frances
Bertram, who lives currently in Walla Walla.
There was also an Arthur Caddy - last heard of in New Jersey, attending a family wedding,
A bit mysterious this chap. The three Caddy brothers went to America early last century, I
expect you have seen what I placed on Ancestry. Does any of this, or any of the above
names, ring any bells with you? Samuel Hubert and his family lived in various place,
Seattle, Kentucky, Virginia that we know of.
