Hi Daniel, Caddens from the Monaghan, Armagh, Fermanagh do have a coat of Arms, My mother
has one at home, Caddens in this Region was originally spelt Cadan. If you want to find
more on the Ancestry of the Cadden Family in this region, there are a couple of good books
published in Ireland & written by a Priest Called Father Livingstone, called the The
Fermanagh Story & The Monaghan Story, these books are good reference points to find
out more about how the Name evolved & your possible Ancestors, All i can say is that
my Ancestry came from Co. Fermanagh originally & also there was a town refered to in
These Books (Baile i Cadan) which quite simply means Caddens Town, & i believe they
where big Land owners of that Area prior to The Plantation of The British in the North of
Ireland. You might have a connection to my family since you mention that your Great
Grandfather was from County Armagh.
