Bill and lsit:
I have orderd a section of the Pont map through the web site, and can
provide the address to all concernd once I receive the map. The photocopies
are 8 1/2 by 11" and cost about £2.50 -about US$ 3.50. So they are not
expensive. They are in the same tone as the original - brown and white. I
know this because they sent me the neighbouring section of the Pont map,
(Nairn) but when we spoke on the phone they confirmed that the section that
would be sent soon would have "Caddell Castle" on it.
By the way, did you know that the English Lord Campbell of Caddell (Calder)
changed the name of the catle and the town from Caddell to Cawdor to match
the English spelling - as in Shakespeare - in 1820 ?!
All the best,

Daphne,
I wish I could. However, it's a very large map bigger than can be
scanned with normal scanners. If it was reduced in size, if you could
find a service that could do it, you would not be able to read the
print. It's already so small (printing) that I have to use a magnifying
glass to read it.
Good thought but I don't think it can be done easily. The Pont Project,
Edinburgh, is working on a plan to digitize all the Pont maps so they
may be viewed via the internet. I think it's due to be completed by
2001.
