Howard Colman Caddell, born July 23, 1928, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May
13, 2003. The family will receive guests for Visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 17, 2003 at Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral
Services will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2003, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the
Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas with Keith Cain and Steve Kilpatrick
officiating. J.D. Thomas will lead in congregational singing. Interment will follow at
Liberty Hill Cemetery in Liberty Hill, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Perman and Nellie Caddell; two brothers, Ray Caddell and Buster Caddell; and three
sisters, Rosa Mae Caddell, Bessie Nell Caddell, and Thelma Baldree. Howard is survived by
his wife of 53 years, Willie Mae Caddell; four daughters, Carolyn Cavanaugh and husband
Dave of Montgomery, Alabama, LaWanda Brouillette and husband Ben of Cottonport, Louisiana,
Deborah Shultz and husband Bu!
d of Los Alamos, New Mexico, and Cheryl Masten and husband, Guy of Dade City, Florida;
son, Michael Caddell and wife, Dianna Seigler of Albuquerque, New Mexico; one sister,
Pauline Goodwin of Lubbock, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; many
nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be
grandsons, David Cavanaugh, Jr., Sean Shultz, William Shultz, Glenn Caddell, Philip
Caddell, and Todd Bennett and sons-in-law, Dave Cavanaugh and Bud Shultz. Howard grew up
in West Texas. He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1956 where he worked in sales and
raised his family. He was a very active member of the Church of Christ. In 1991 he retired
and moved to Georgetown, Texas. During his time in Georgetown, Howard enjoyed meeting and
making new friends, all of whom were very dear to him. Howard was actively involved with
the Georgetown Church of Christ where he spent a great deal of time working with the jail
ministry outreach and touc!
hed many lives. He had many interests and hobbies, especially woodworking and antique
restoration. In 2001, he and Willie Mae relocated to Montgomery, Alabama where he spent
his last few years enjoying his family and an intimate walk with God. He was a member at
Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery. Memorial contributions may be made to: The
