I am interested in finding any information on the Edward & Elizabeth Caddell family
and the William J & Jannet Caddell family, both of which were living in the
Walsenburg, Huerfano county, Colorado area between 1890 and 1930.
The Edward Caddell family was noted to have had 13 children with 11 living in 1900 and
1910. At least 2 of the older children were indicated as having been born in
Pennsylvania. The rest appear to have been born in Colorado.
The William "Jack" Caddell family was noted to have had 6 children (5 living) in
1900, and 7 children with 6 living in 1910. At least 3 children were born in Scotland
(the 2 eldest, and the youngest) and at least 3 were born in Colorado.
These two men - presumed to be brothers - were both born in Ireland of Irish parents, both
had wives born in Ireland of Scottish parents, are both buried in the Walsenburg Masonic
Cemetery.
I am not a Caddell relative. However, I have some interest in completing this area
because one of the daughters of the William 'Jack' & Jennet Caddell family
married into the Jellison family genealogy research I have been involved with over the
last few months. Your assistance would be appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to
respond. Claudia
