Thanks for the reply. I've not worked on the Caddell line because there are several of
you who know more about what you are doing than I. I have done some work on my Dad's
Henderson line. The Hendersons are more confusing than the Caddells if that is possible
and much more prolific! Mom and I both tried to tie my Dad's family to Caddell but his
Henderson line came from Pennsylvania and stop with Nathaniel (b.abt 1728 in that colony).
The family did go to the North Carolina/ South Carolina border area before 1754 and fought
in the Revolution there. However, looking at names, there is no William nor Jean in this
group at all. My guess is that the Caddell line is tied to that mess of Hendersons in
Virginia! I have another Henderson line there, but gave it up until I have nothing else to
do.
I'll keep my eyes open and, if I ever get the time and nerve at the same time,
I'll tackle Mom's notes. She was in the process of getting another book together
when she became too weak to work on it. However, she is not known for her organizational
skills, so her notes are not filed in any order commonly used. I simply have not been able
to face them yet! I do know that she had not yet found Jean Henderson. That is a point of
frustration for her.
Good luck and keep us in mind. I'll do the same.
