You should consider researching the name KABLER which was often interchanged with CABLER.
My paternal line includes Kablers who were originally from Kentucky, but settled in Kansas
and Missouri. I do not know of any Cablers or Kablers in Texas.

Recently, my grandfather (Charles Martin Cabler) passed away. He was 91. I have been very
interested in trying to find out about my family history. If anyone has any information
please write back or contact me by e-mail.
His father's name was Charles Dunham Cabler married to Cora J. Rasmussen. They settled
in Meridian Texas. My grandfather, Charles then moved to Brownsville Texas.
My deepest appreciation,
Michelle
