Was in the Register of Deeds a while back looking for PATTERSON information
that might tie in to my lines in Surry County. Although none of these are in
my lines (as of yet), thought I'd share these with the list in case some of
you are looking for them:
1. Catherine PATTERSON m. James BAKER, December 29, 1821 (the information
says Catherine was a ward of John S. GILLESPIE, but was daughter of William
PATTERSON and Nancy HODGE).
2. Margaret PATTERSON m. Robert RANKIN, December 13, 1827 (also a daughter
of William PATTERSON and Nancy HODGE. He was son of John RANKIN and Hannah
CARSON).
3. Nancy PATTERSON m. John S. GILLESPIE, October 3, 1814 (Nancy was daughter
or William PATTERSON and Nancy HODGE. John was son of Daniel GILLESPIE, SR
and Lucretia GALT)

Lastly, there was Justice of the Peace named J. W. PATTERSON that served
Guilford during much of the mid 1800s. Several of the noted witnesses were
Isaac PATTERSON, Thomas PATTERSON, Wilson PATTERSON, and Hugh PATTISON.
