I don't know, but would like to know if you find out. Casper Cable, born
Kasper Goebel, was my fifth-great grandfather. My sister, who researched the
line, also found information in a book by Brian Aldridge. (I don't know the
title, but she may have it.)
Someone asked a while back if there were any photos available.
Highly unlikely, since Casper was born in 1780.
(For you too, Dawn): My grandmother used to tell about her great-grandfather
Samuel Cable, son of Casper Cable. Samuel Cable was born in about 1796, my
grandmother in 1876. As a small child she would climb into the old man's bed
and he would sing songs to her in what she called "Dutch"--actually
"Deutsch" (sp?) which is German.
How I wish we had listened more closely to my grandmother's stories, and
those of others. Dawn, and anybody else who has the opportunity, get your
interviews with the old folks while you can!
