Casper Cable (Goebel) is my 4g-grandfather. By the time of Elizabeth Cable
m. John Hyde, however, this branch had settled in Swain Co. NC where John
Hyde had a farm.

Hi, would it be possible to get a copy of the Cable lineage you have? I
descend 6 generations from Casper(Kasper). Family history brings me to be
related to the Cable's who lived in Cades Cove. The story I heard is that
he came over here to fight with the French against the English and tired
of the French which caused him to switch sides. If this is not accurate,
please pass on the story. Thanks.
