Philip Cable b. c. 1700-1710, along with his wife Maria Brede, daughter
Barbara b. c. 1729 and son Abraham b.c. 1730 arrived in Philadelphia on
9/11/1732 via the PA Merchant. They first lived in Germantown, later
moving to the Ephrata Cloister; they eventually settled in York where
Philip died in 1780. Abraham was the first in that family to reach
Somerset.
Respectfully,
Betty Cable Perry
direct descendant of
Philip Cable thru
his son Abraham

Betty, Thank you for the info. I know nothing about the CABLE family but
believe their name had been GOEBEL. I found a baptizimal record in the
Dutch Reform Church in Claverack, Ny. Other than that, I have little info
on the CABLE family. Marvin Henry Cable was born in NY? 1811 and lived in
Maryland, NY (census 1850) Must have moved his family west, probably to WI
and then onto IL where I found him on the 1880 census. I am now trying to
prove that he is the son of Jonathan Cable and Sally Boardman. Does this
sound like your Cable family?
