Subject: [CABLE-L] Philip Cable family
Helllo List:
Correction:
Philip Cable arrived on the PA Merchant in 1732.
They settled in Somerset Co., PA.
My husband's family is:
Philip & Mary (Capt) Cable
Benjamin Cable (can't remember her name from memory)
Abraham Cable & Suzanna Stahl
Abraham Cable, Jr. & Eliza Reese
John Cable & Maria Callihan
Charles Cable & Minnie Dick
(They lived in Johnstown, PA)
This, too, is from memory. Hope I didn't
leave out a generation, or two.

Rosemary Miller,
Thank you for your response about the CABLE family. I have very
little
info. I think they had spelled their name GOEBEL. I found a baptizimal
record in a Dutch Reform Church in Claverack , NY. Where did the Cable
family orginate? Netherlands or Germany?
I am searching for info on a Marvin Henry Cable born 1811 probably in NY.
He lived at Maryland, NY with his family , census 1850. Moved west,
probably to WI and then on to IL ,census 1880. I am trying to prove that
his parents were Jonathan Cable and Sally Boardman.
Does this sound like anyone in the Philip Cable family?
Thank you for your help.
Respectfully
Lura Folkerts
