Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado)
July 22, 1906
CABLE-SIZE--At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Size, Wednesday,
June 20, 1906, John S. Cable and Miss Maud Size; Rev A. L. Chase, officiating.
The parlor decorations were banks of flowers, pink and white carnations and ferns. The
bridal couple stood under a great horn of plenty. The dining room decorations were ropes
of asparagus ferns from cent to each corner. The center piece was a cluster of American
Beauty roses. The supper consisted of a five course luncheon.
The bride has grown up in Longmont, is one of those our city has always been proud of,
because of her pleasant and amiable disposition. The groom is a stranger to us, but is
one of Brightons's business men.
Mr. and Mrs. Cable left for Denver on the late afternoon train where they will remain
until Sunday, when they will start on an extended trip east, their final destination being
Toronto, the former home of the bride's parents.
It was the intention to have the wedding later in the season, so this was somewhat of a
surprise, as the groom had been called east on business, and a few friends were present.
We know the numerous friends will join us in extending best wishes and hopes that all the
blessings of life will follow them. The only regret being that we lose Miss Size, now
Mrs. Cable from Longmont.
I do not see a find-a-grave for John S., but Maud has one 54632505. The owner of this
memorial will not add info unless the request comes from a family member. It would be
nice if this announcement was added to her memorial
