Subject: [HONEYCUTT-L] Barren Co. KY Honeycutts
Greetings cousins! I am seeking fellow descendants of William
B. (Burton?)
Honeycutt (b NC ca. 1830) and Mary Cable (b. TN ca 1828). The
pair shows up
in the 1850 census of Barren County, KY, along with a Sarah
Honeycutt who
was his mother. William and Mary were not actually married
until 1853,
but which time they'd had at least one son, also William.
Sarah's maiden name may have been Ensor and she may have been
the duaghter
of a William T. Ensor of Washington County, TN, who died in
1847. Her
husband's name may have been Michael Honeycutt. If so, given
the dates of
the births of William and Mary's surviving children, it is
possible they had
a second son between 1850 and 1855 (big gap in there) that did
not survive,
named Michael for his father.
Mary Cable Honeycutt had a son from an earlier relationship,
Francis Marion
Cable, who also lived most of his life in Barren County and
died without
issue (despite at least two and possibly three wives).
Confirmation from cousins would be helpful. I'd be delighted
to share any
and all info and docs I have.
Sandy
