I was told they are from Wittgenstein. But I haven't proven that yet.

family found in Dutchess/Columbia Counties in1783. Henry married a Mary

On the RW records it shows sometimes Kasper Goebell, sometimes Casper
Goebel. When
one relative visited Germany, a German person told him it was
not possible the name was spelled with two Ls. These records were from
Raymond Cable's work. We owe a lot to his research some years ago.
