Hi,
I saw your posting and find with interest that you have a couple of names
I have
not been able to find any more info on. I have a Joseph Cable ( born
abt 1814) who was a Pensioner Guard who arrived in West Australia in 1854.
I can not find his death anywhere in West Australia, sources says his death
was 1880, but I can not confirm. Also you have a George Hill Cable. I too
have George Hill and he is proving just as elusive. Family story has him
jumping ship in New Zealand, but where and when. I don't know. At some
point he went to Victoria, Australia, where his daughter was born.
Eventually his daughter at least made their way to West Australia. Any
information or details or swap what I have.
