Hi List:
I got this email in 1998. I am not sure if Kim is on this
list, or not.
It may help someone.
This message is from Kim <kbeer(a)iland.net>
My name is Kimberly Beer and I am also researching the Cable
family in
PA. I ran across your Query on the Somerset County, PA page
and was
wondering if perhaps our Cables connect up with each other.
Here is the
info on mine, if any sound familiar, please e-mail me.
Thanks!
John Cable (b. abt. 1797 in PA, possibly Somerset or Allegheny
co.s)
m. Rachel ??? (b. January 11, 1808 in PA) could possibly
be
related to the Carey family.
John and Rachel had the following children:
Rebecca (b. 1829-30 PA)
Johnathan (b 1830-31 PA)
Mary (b. 1832-33 PA)
Elizabeth (b. ~1836 OH)
Eliza (b. ~1838 OH)
Isabelle (b. ~1840 OH)
Martha (b. ~1842 OH)
Harriet (b. ~1844 OH)
Lewis (b. 1848 OH)
Rachel (b. 1850 OH)
John and Rachel moved to Knox County, OH by 1850. They may
have lived in
other PA and/or OH counties. Mother Rachel, Isabelle, Martha,
Lewis and
little Rachel all moved to Missouri in the late 1860s.
If you haven't already got it, I have the following
information from the
1830 US census for Somerset County, PA pages 108 and 109:
People in the John Cable household:
1 male under 5
1 male 30-40
1 female under 5
1 female 20-30
(This John could be yours or mine)
People in the Jacob Cable household:
1 male 5-10
1 male 15-20
1 male 20-30
1 male 60-70
1 female under 5
2 females 10-15
1 female 15-20
1 female 40-50
People in the Henry Cable Household:
2 males under 5
1 male 20-30
1 male 50-60
1 female 15-20
If these are not connections to my Cables, I hope they are to
yours!
Thanks,
Kim
