I don't know if this is the same name as Cable. After the war years, some
descendants changed the spelling to CABLE, because of the war with Germany.
Michael S. Koebel, born 1807, Baden, Germany and Elizabeth Weiss (Wise)
born 1806, Germany married about 1833, Germany. They came to America after
1841, settled first near Columbus, Ohio; then came to Auglaize County, Ohio
in 1858. He was a farmer. Three children born in Baden came with them;
Michael born 1833; Mary Anne, 1838; George, 1841. Born in Ohio were
Barbara, 1844; Catherine "Casey" 1846; and Sarah, 1848.
My husband's great grandmother is Mary Anne Koebel, the 2nd child.
If anyone has connections to this family would like to share with them.
Margaret Hobler
Auglaize County, Ohio

I have more on the Cable family on 2 of my webpages if anyone's
interested; or I can post what I have with this group. I also have a
letter written by Professor Arthur Cable in 1956 describing Martin Cable
and his parents, along with the children of Henry Eller and Mary Ann
Cable.
I am searching for more information on the children of Henry and Mary
Ann. I have a little information on them, and alot on their son John (my
gg grandfather). I also have the migration of Henry and Mary Ann from
Ohio to Indiana to North Dakota to Indiana. I am willing to share with
all.
Thanks,
Jim Eller
