Hi,
Michael S. Koebel, born 8 Nov 1807, came from Baden, Germany with his wife Elizabeth Weiss (Wise) born 12 May 1806, settling first in Columbus, Ohio, moving on to Auglaize County, Ohio where both died. Their first 3 children were born in Germany, and the last three in Auglaize County, Ohio. During WW II, some changed the spelling of name to CABLE, and it is pronounced CABLE.
Also have a John KOBEL. I don't know if this qualifies as a CABLE? He was in Stouchsbourg, PA; had 2 daughters, Catherine, born 1760, and Maria, born 1763. Both married Conkle\Kunkles.
Would be happy to hear from anyone connected to these two families.

Seeking information concerning a Michael Cable
family in Ohio. Son, Solomon Cable (1827-1897)
came with at least one brother, Basil, to Southern
Illinois. Solomon married Marena Paralee Barger
31 Dec 1851 in Raleigh Township, Saline County,
Illinois and they lived there all their lives.
Their son, Charles Radner Cable (1853-1911)
moved to Arkansas. We have more information
about Solomon, nothing about Michael, and little
about Charles Radner. If anyone can provide
some leads, it would be appreciated.
Joann

I am researching William & Susan Gardner Cable from New York although
they may have come from Connecticut or Massachusetts originally. I have
most of the family history from William and Susan to the present but do
not have any information beyond them in the past. William had at least
one brother Alva Cable who settled in Ohio where he spent the winters.
He spent the summer months fishing and running a trading post on Beaver
Island in Lake Michigan.
I would certainly like to hook up with someone who could perhaps
identify William's parents.

Hi Cable List:
Lately we have had some new people join our list.
To help the new people, and to remind the old list
members, maybe we can again write which Cable
family we are researching, and send it to the list.
Here is the list address:
mailto:CABLE-L@rootsweb.com
Thanks,
Rosemary

You are cordially invited to join the ICM List. Our goal is to make May 2002
the International Cemetery Month where volunteers will go out and collect
cemetery information that needs collected. This is an Organization dedicated
to collecting the necessary information and placing it where it will be
available to everyone.

Yes, we have joined with "Saving Graves" now thanks to Bill Spurlock, the
owner of Saving Graves who has agreed to join our team.
Send this on to others that might be interested in volunteering please. Even
those off line. I actually have started a list of people who want to help
but do not have computer access. Subscribe to the List so you are kept up to
date on what is new at ICM
Many thanks,
