Subject: Nancy W. Cable Obituary
Surname: Cable, White, Quinn, Irwin, Miller, Brown
-------------------------
>From the Muncy Luminary, Thursday, May 4, 1905
Mrs. Nancy W. Cable, widow of the late Henry Cable, entered
into rest at
her home on North Main St., on Monday, May 1, after a long and
serious
illness.
She was born in Muncy, July 14, 1824, and has always resided
in this place.
Her parents were William and Jane (White) Quinn, who were
early settlers
in this vicinity. For many years Mrs. Cable has been a
faithful member
of the Methodist Church, and for a quarter of a century had
been a teacher
of the primary class in the Sunday School of that church, and
as pupils
advanced the younger generation took their places. For several
years past
she has been unable to attend church but her zeal for her
Master's cause
was in no wise diminished, and her love for her bible
continued until she
was no longer able to read. She is survived by thre sons,
William and Henry
of Williamsport, John of this place, and two daughters, Mrs.
M.J.Irwin
of Philadelphia, Mrs. A.R. Miller, of Savannah, Ga., all of
whom contributed
to her comfort and happiness during her declining years. She
is also survived
by one sister, Mrs. F.M. Brown, of Beech Creek, PA.
