Lucy Isabella Cabe Honeycutt:
Her husband was Jake Honeycutt, her father was T (or J) Cabe and her mother was Sarah.
Does anyone have any info on this family?
Missouri just released its death certificates database online (type in: Missouri State
Archives) and I was able to discover the maiden name of my great great grandmother.
(Don't you just love the adventure?!)
From her Death Certificate #30642-a, I found her father named as Mr.
Cabe and her mother was unknown. I was able to find Lucy CABE and other siblings in the
1850 Census records in the same county I had already found her with her first husband
George M Colley and my great great grandfather Jacob Honeycutt many years later (Weakley,
TN). Problem is her father is listed as T Cabe there and he's not found on later
Census records.
In 1850 T Cabe 35 and Sarah 36 and Benjamin, Wm, James, Elizabeth,
Sarah & my Lucy (ages 11, 7, 5, 3, 2, 4/12) are found as family/household 94/94. On
95/95 is H Cabe 25 and wife Manesa 24.
In 1860 census in Henry, TN, #1256/1280 is Widowed Sarah aged 43, William, James,
Elizabeth, Frances (called Sarah in 1850)and Lucy (ages 27, 15, 13, 11, 10)listed. Henry W
Cabe 34 and Manicia aged 33 and their 3 children are family/ household #1403/1429.
Was Henry W Cabe a brother of my T Cabe?
J.M. Colley (father of George)is listed on 1840 Weakley, TN census right next to John Cabe
and James Cabe. Does anyone know who they are?
