Using a search engine such as www.google.com
search on free email.
You will get several hundred sites from which to chose.
I prefer and use Yahoo.com
There are some advantages to using web based email.
ALL the mail remains on THEIR server unless you save it to
your computer. However, you do not have unlimited storage. Usually
about 4M to 6M is free. If you want more you have to pay.
If you receive a lot of mail you would need to check your
mail at least twice a week.

On Yahoo, besides your inbox, the is a BULK folder, TRASH folder,
and the SENT Folder that have to be maintained as the contents counts
against your storage limit.
BULK folder is where YOU filter SPAM to go. If you get a SPAM in your
inbox you designate it as such and the next time it will go to the
Bulk folder. It is easy to empty with one click. This allows you to
check the folder for messages that may NOT be SPAM and unfilter them.
Trash is where your deleted messages go just like any ohter email
program. This can be emptied with a single click as well.
The Sent folder does not have an [empty] button.
Any folders you create and the contents count against your storage limit.
There is a graphic indicator to tell you how much storate you are using.
I also suggest that you use Internet Explorer or some othe browser
[Netscape, Mozilla] to access your web mail. Login to AOL and then open
