D- 13 October 1897 19 Prospect Hill st., Greenock Renfrewshire Scotland.

D-(possibly) 7 September 1854 Lanarkshire Scotland.
As far as I’ve found-Together William and Jane had 3 daughters; Jane as above and;
Margaret Boyd who married John Bone Ferguson Neil

William Boyd was the son of Thomas Boyd:
B- about 1805 no records
M- no records
D- before 1857. Listed as deceased (occupation butcher) on sons marriage license
2 March 1843 Northern Whig Newspaper:
“John M’Mullan, for stealing, on the 18th of October,a cow, the property of Mr Charles
“William Butler, examined by Mr Hanna, QC-Lives near Mr M’Ildowneys grazing farm; was at
Ballycastle on the 18th October last; on returning home, saw the prisoner on the road,
driving Mr Kirkpatrick’s cow, in direction of Ballycastle.
Thomas Boyd, examined by Sir T. Staples, QC- John M’Mullan came to him, on the 18th
October, at 11 o’clock at night, with a cow; he asked to get her killed for the market;
witness is a butcher; witness got her killed on the morning of the 19th; after she was
killed, part of her was taken to Ballymoney market; the hide was sold to Mr Loughlen, of
Dervock; witness was with prisoner when hide was sold.”
