In July 2014, Melanie Gustin of CT visited Bangor, County Down and found the Raven Maps of
The one that she has posted to the New Windsor Research Group APPEARS TO BE A map of the
Bangor area. It has Fort Hill marked on two estates on either side of “a common”. And
One of these joining the coast was for a “ G (?) Boyde, Fort hill” The initial before
Boyd is not consistent the the C in Common nor is it consistent with the “G” in Galt and
it is not a “A” Aenet.
There is a smaller estate marked “Wm Boyd”. This I take is short for William Boyd.
We were told that this is in the James Hamilton lands of County Down. So my GUESS is that
these two Boyd’s are separate from the family of Colonel David Boyd who had 1000 acres in
the Montgomery Lands

Mr Murrey (first name cut of map)
