Dayton OH had a very bad tornado. Not heard if any Boyd effected, but it
was bad! Many homes and business destroyed. We live about 15 miles away
and we are still on boil water and water restrictions even here even though
we had no damage.
I was watching the TV News before I went to bed last night, and it mentioned the Tornados in Missouri and the flooding in Oklahoma.
I trust that no Boyd were injured or effected by either event?

What is happening in Scotland with the 700th Anniversary of signing the Declaration of Arbroath on 6 April 2020?
Many members will not aware that on 6 April 2020 will be the 700th Anniversary of signing the Declaration of Arbroath in Scotland.
It is my understanding, but I can’t just now put my hands on any published listing, that Sir Robert Boyd IV was one of those Scottish “Nobles” that signed this Declaration to the Pope.
This event is perhaps the real date of Scottish Independence, rather than the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314! (I can see that will cause some debate in some circles.)
I have been trying for the last two years to find out what events are being held and how can the Clans take part. Unfortunately, without much success. And I have raised this at the last two AGM’s of our House of Boyd Society but no one knew anything about what was happening.
Do any members know what the Scottish Authorities are planning for this 700th Anniversary?
How can I give your DNA group my raw data. I am curious about my heritage.

Due to the GDPR, this should be explored within the Boyd DNA project,
lest someone's results be exposed without their permission. Once there is
a clear determination of the most probable haplogroup for George it might
be mentioned on the Boyd DNA list or this one. However, this is a publicly
archived list and must adhere to Roorsweb community guidelines.
