Marydale, Its no accident that TEAGUES keep showing up. In 1850 Union
Co AR the were quite a number of TEAGUES. William, James, Wilmer,
Hosea, and 2 Nathaniels. In fact in the 1850 AR, there seems to be two
major groups, one from IN and one from NC/TN/KY. And I'm not sure that
these two groups aren't related. As they seem to have come from the
same areas and are in counties surrounding Union.
Burgess and Levi came from GA, and the ALFORDS came from GA. The
Jester's married heavily into the Teagues and Alfords, but the Teagues
and Alfords didn't marry. Which leads me to believe that the Teagues
and Alfords may have already been related.
The grandson of Burgess Stanford Alford, son of Tabitha Jester and
Christefer Alford, believes that Haywood Alford's wife Frances, was a
Jester, J.H. - Elizabeth Jester (same name?), l8 March, 1866, Union
Co. This John later m. Mrs Elizabeth Boles. And is wither the son of Levi
or William. Others in the William line claim him.
