LLOYD STEPHENS DIES IN KANKAKEE
Lloyd STEPHENS, 69, former Marion resident, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday in
Riverside Hospital, Kankakee.
Mr. STEPHENS was born March 30, 1895, in Thompsonville, a son of Mr. and
Mrs. George STEPHENS.
He married Gussie BOLES who died in 1936. He then married Edna GULLEY.
Mr. STEPHENS was a retired employee of Manteno State Hospital. He lived in
Manteno before his death. His son, Jack, is a patrolman on the Marion Police
He leaves his wife; children, Jack of Marion, Mrs. William JOHNSON of Kansas
City, Mo., and Mrs. Edna NORMAN of Phoenix, Ariz., brothers, Ross, of Marion
and Harry of Fort Worth, Tex.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Mitchell Funeral Home, Marion. Rev.
John HALEY will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.
