As far as I can tell Benjamin and Mary never lived in Goochland Co, only
were married in Goochland Co. Dates 1750 and 1755 were from Goochland Co
records, but don't say Benjamin lived in Goochland Co. In 1750 Benjamin and
William Ford were neighbors in Hanover Co, as were Mary Bowles and William
Ford in 1771 and 1779 after Benjamin died. There were two sets of Bowles in
Goochland Co from Hanover Co in this time period, and one set from Henrico
Co. One set from Hanover Co was 10-12 miles from the court house and the
other was 40 miles from the court house in Goochland Co. Mary and William
Ford lived in 1771 and 1779 near Stoney Run which is in the northwest part
of Hanover Co close to Goochland Co. If you look at the census below for
1788-90 Mary and Benjamin could have had a son Phillip and a son Thomas?
