I am way confused on David's birthday. some show it
as 1730 - and others as 1750.
HERE IS MY 2 cents worth on some of your question. I
show Benjamin [David's father] bought & sold land in
Henrico Co VA 1746-1779 When was Benjamin born?? I am
sure there are earlier land records??? Does anyone
have any other records on Benjamin??
<< And how old David would have been when Jesse was
born. Jesse was born in 1773?>>
JESSE BORN 3/3/1773 I believe all records show he was
1st born [living] child of David & Sarah [Hughes] if
David was born in 1730 and Jesse 1773 would that not
be a little late to have a FIRST born child at age 43
so now the 1750 "LOOKS" better. AHHHHHH
FROM WHAT I HAVE FOUND I have a Ann Patterson as 2nd
wife no children [ALSO NO PROOF]
THEN THERE IS THE WINNIE RICE marriage and children
This is what I have on the sons
1810 Census Bourbon County Page 75
Nelson 26/45 wife 26/45
Sons 4 under 10 Daughters 2 under 10 2 10/16
1810 Census Bourbon County Page 76
Thomas 26/45 no one else listed
The birth year range is 1765 - 1784 Now Jesse born
1773 both of these men would have to be born closer to
the 1775. Nelson had 2 sons born 1794 - 1800 If
Nelson was 20 when he married then he would have to
have been born closer to 1774. This is the best I can
do right now but it's a starting place. Of course this
is assuming that the sons 10/16 are his children :)
Anyone have anything on Nelson and his children this
would be a GOOD clue!!!
>If this has been discussed to death before please
apologies but this has confused me since the
I FOR ONE WANT MORE DISCUSSION Get other's ideas and
input everyone looks at things differently and then
there are the new Bowles researchers, like my self
that may or may not be able to add something to this

ARE COPIES OF THESE BOOKS AVAILABLE?? I have not seen
anything in writing only what's been typed up on the

you pull in new material it can help .
