I have been using findmypast.co.uk to research a relative of mine (Kate
Elizabeth Phillips): I've found out a few things, such as date/place of
birth/death (1874-1943); I've even got a mention on one census (1891). But
nothing from any of the other censuses.
I was delighted, therefore, to find that there was a record for a sister K
Phillips with the army nurses reserve in the Anglo-Boer war of 1898-1902. I
looked up the record, but it only tells me the surname, initial, rank and
corps. Nothing more to identify the person definitely.
Am I looking at this wrong, or does my subscription not allow me to see any
more? Can anyone tell me more about these records and if this is all that
there is on the website, is there anything else I can do to research this
