Hi! My great aunt Fanny Webb was married to a man named George

They lived in Wales and immigrated to the US in about 1902. Anything

I don't have a George VEATER in my tree at the moment but there were two
candidates for your George living in Wales at the time of the 1881 census.
One was Geo. Alfred VATER, a 15-year-old coalminer, born in Aberaman,
Glamorgan. He was the son of widower, Henry VATER, and they lived at 276
Cardiff Road, Aberdare, Glamorgan.
The other was another 15-year-old George VATER, born in Monmouth, who was also
a coal miner. He was the son of John VATER and they lived at 43 Tyntilla Road,
Ystradyfodwg, Glamorgan.
Both the fathers of these boys were born in Somerset, which was the county of
origin of many of the VATER/VEATER families of that time.
