Marg and others,
There are also Pritchards who came to Allegany County Maryland. This
was the largest coal mining area in the US at the time they came to the
Georges Creek Valley...ca. 1850-1880. With the Pritchards came Dandos,
Lloyds, Davies, Llewyllyns, Reeses (the aunt of Richard Llewyllyn who
wrote "How Green Was My Valley), Morgans, Griffiths, Thomas', and
others. One of the coal mines was named "Blaen Avon."
And is Pritchard todays spelling for ap Richard or of Richard??
