Annie, two questions.
First, where is this Trinity Church you refer to?
Second, are you in US or UK?

Subject: Re: Edwards
I see the Edwards thing keeps coming up. Now every Edwards in the
country
will be thinking they are related.
Ever since Trinity Church was built, there has been this story that "our
family owned the land upon which the church was built and if we can prove
it,
we will be millionaires."
Every Dutch family in America says the same thing so the Edwards, of
course,
will have to wait in line for all the Dutch families who come first.
After
all, the Netherlands owned New York first. England was not a good
colonizer
in New York and it was probably the start of the American Revolution
as to
the
way they treated the Dutch. One should read the history of the
English in
New
York City. I can see why my mother's people never trusted the
English and
I
am always surprised that she ended up marrying a Welshman. My own
grandfather
gave money to a man in 1912 to go to New York and put a claim in. My
grandfather's brothers and sisters did the same. They never heard from the
man again. He totally disappeared taking their money.
All, I am saying is, don't give any money to anyone!
