Irishdancer: My bells are ringing - any connections with what I have?
The 1861 Monmouthshire Census Index for the Blaenavon subdistrict of the
Abergavenny District lists my relatives: -
I just recently got this information from a kind list member from the
1861
Blaenavon, Monmouthshire, Wales Census index of my ggrandmother Rachel
JONES' family who were listed as:
David JONES (father) age 59 + Rachel Jones
(daur) age 16 in the
parish of Llanwenarth Ultra at Census ref RG9 3995
folio 55 page 10. This was an area just North of Blaenavon Town.
David JONES 59, Leah 57, Thomas 25, Jane 25, John 20, John 19, Rachel
16,
Margaret 14, Ann 4, Mary 2 (It looked like there were two Jones families on
this page (David+Leah+Rachel+Margaret(+John?)
Thomas+Jane+Ann+Mary - plus an individual John?
William LLOYD (son), David LLoyd (father),
there was the following in Llanfoist ref RG9 3395 78 24 - William LLOYD
18, Hugh (20) and Ann (16). Again this area is just to the West of Blaenavon.

I can't resist the opportunity to ask if we have a JONES
connection. My GGGM
was Elizabeth JONES, who married Edward BOYLE 4-2-1857 in Llanelli.
Elizabeth's parents were John Jones and Mary Lloyd. Any bells ringing?
